Office Experience

|
On the day of your examination, you will be spending most of your time with
an ARRT (the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certified
radiographer. Radiographers are also commonly refferred to as X-ray
Technologists. Your technologist is responsible for "taking the proper
image". A proper image is achieved through proper technique. As your
technologist positions you for the exam, they will explain the technique
being applied.
Your technologist will NOT provide you with an interpretation at the time of
your visit. The technologist's role in the medical imaging process is to
obtain the proper image and all pertinent information. It is the
Radiologist's job to interpret the image. Our Radiologists will dictate a
report of their findings and our administrative staff will type the report
and fax it to your doctor. The report will be sent to your doctor - the
goal being within 24 hours of your exam.
Should you have any questions about your procedure, your results or
obtaining copies of your results, please feel free to ask your technologist
or call our office in Salem 603.893.4352.
